Blog 12: Escape Plan
Escape Plan is about a guy that works for a company that sends him to prisons and his job is to escape them. If he can escape them, it'll actually show how really secure that jail is. Later on they send him to a top secret jail so he can test his ability if he can actually get out of that jail. The thing is that is jail is an illegal jail and it is impossible to escape. Throughout the movie it shows him struggling to actually find an escape plan.
I personally loved this movie! It's been a while since I watched a thriller movie. Everything that happened was so creative in the movie. It is a fun, non-stop thrill ride! The story goes by smoothly and fast. Everything the characters is genius. At first I hesitated if I should watch the movie but after I actually decided to watch the movie, I don't regret it! I give the movie an A+ !

Blog 11: Sin Nombre
crossing the border to be inspired and write a good story. While I looked up online I saw the movie Sin Nombre. The movie is about a girl from Honduras trying to escape to the United States. It tells about the struggles she has to face while she's on the road. While on a train she meets a guy who is trying to escape his gang he is in. She is drawn to him and ends up traveling with him. This movie was pretty good. I wasn't that amazed, I think I expected better from what I read in the description. Except I feel like it captures the real events that happen to immigrants that try to escape their native lands. I feel like I've watched better movies than this. I'd give this movie a C-

Blog 8: Cesar Chavez
Cesar Chavez is a person who changed civil rights for people. He was a leader, labor organizer. father, and husband. Chavez fought for the people who worked in the fields to be paid and treated better. Throughout the movie you see how Chavez fought this movement without violence. It was truly inspiring on how he did everything to change the conditions for the field workers. He inspired many Americans to show that no matter what you can change any social justice. This movie touched my heart, and made me tear up towards the end. It showed the struggle Chavez went through while trying to make a change. He went through a lot and surely deserved this movie to show everyone the movement he did. Not only did he help all the farm laborers but he also made a big change in history. I really liked the movie on how it showed the lives of the field workers to all the struggles everyone went through.
I'd rate this movie a B+

Blog 7
This week I didn't have time to watch a movie. I have been super busy because of my northern california trip. I left this Thursday so I had to turn in a bunch of work and homework before Thursday. I wish I would have had time to watch a movie. Except I was looking forward for my trip. I got to visit UC Merced, UC Berkeley, and UC Santa Cruz. I'm still at the trip right now. I have learned so much about the universities and what the requirements are to be eligible. After this week I'm gonna focus on watching movies and writing wonderful review movies. I'm determined to do a good movies. Since I have been slacking off lately on my movie reviews. Hopefully on our way home we get to watch a few movies and I can write movie reviews on them. Since I have nothing to put as a picture, below is a picture of me at UC Berkeley.

Blog 5: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is about this innocent kid named Bruno that doesn't know anything about World War 2 or anything that his leader Hitler is doing to the Jews. Since his father is a soldier and runs one of the concentration camp, they set out to move closer to that concentration camp to have his job a bit easier. While there Bruno finds a out where the concentration camp is, but thinks it is a farm. As he's there he gets to know this kid that is a Jew and he grows a friendship with him.
I absolutely loved this movie! I think it captured a lot of what was happening back then. It shows how a lot people really got manipulated by Hitler making them think Jews were bad people. It also shows how many people didn't like anything that Hitler was doing. I was in tears throughout the whole movie. I'm a big weenie coming to sad movies but I really felt like this movie really did bring out my real tears because this is something that really happened in history. I enjoyed this movie very much and give it A .

Blog 3: The Final
In the movie The Final a couple of students are tired of being bullied by a bunch of "cool kids". So they take matters into their own hands. They set up a plan where the bullies lives will change forever. They gather all the "cool kids" at a Halloween party and begin to torture them. I think that this movie was a bit ridiculous. Except I really like the idea of the nerds getting revenge. It's kind of a good story to make bullies think twice about the actions that they did. I loved the costumes that they had on, they portrayed evil people. I think it wasn't much of a horror movie. I enjoyed this movie.I loved the ending to it! How they ended the movie on how it pretty much started. This movie also gives me a lesson like to think twice about the actions that I do because I never know if I'm hurting someone. I think this movie would deserve a B-.

Blog 1 : Midnight in Paris
I really enjoyed this movie because it took me back to the 1920's and made me feel as if I was in the movie too living the days in the 1920's. It was pretty interesting how Gil Pender is traveling back in time and he realizes that the life that he is living in the present time isn't the life he wants to actually live. The movie is romantic and comedy. Some parts had me laughing for a while. I loved how they brought many old writers from the 1920's in the movie, they had perfect acting. The ending was cheesy in way and could have had a better ending. In my opinion I think this movie deserves a B.

Blog 8: White House Down
Cale has just been denied his dream job with the Secret Service of protecting the President. Not wanting his little girl Emily to know the news that he didn't get the job he decides to take on a tour around the white house. While they're at the white house a group of people come and attack the white house. Now Cale had to keep the president safe and try to look for his daughter that he lost while the big commotion happened. When I first heard about this movie, I thought it would be boring just by the title of it. Once a lot of people started recommending me to watch the movie I decided that I wouldn't loose anything from watching this movie. On the bright side Channing Tatum is an actor so he'll make the movie way better with his good looks. Once into the movie I was so into it and kept me at the edge of my seat. It was such a good movie. The only part I really disliked is when the bad guys are cartoonish and you kind of realize that this can't really happen and I kind of toon out of the movie. Also many parts the happened were a but unrealistic to me because they get hurt and keep on going like nothing is wrong. Except mostly in every movie that happens... they can get hit by a train and still survive to kill the bad guy. Overall I give this movie a B+ because it was a really intense movie. Blog 6; The Call
When I first saw the movie cover of The Call I imagined it to be a horror movie. After watching it turns out that's not. An 911 operator gets a life-alternating call from a girl who has just been abducted. She soon needs to confront a killer from the past in order to save this girls life. I thought that the movie was just simply amazing. It kept me at the edge of my seat, not knowing what was going to happen next. It was such an intense movie because of how the girl that was abducted was trying escape and how the operator was helping her throughout the way. I feel in love with the movie. I was into the movie that I seriously didn't realize the I was at the edge of my bed practically trying to get into the television. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending because the operator and the abducted girl left the killer in a basement to die. I thought it could have been more interesting if they threw the guy in jail. Overall I give the move an A-. One of my favorite movies now.
