Blog 6; The Call

When I first saw the movie cover of The Call I imagined it to be a horror movie. After watching it turns out that's not. An 911 operator gets a life-alternating call from a girl who has just been abducted. She soon needs to confront a killer from the past in order to save this girls life. I thought that the movie was just simply amazing. It kept me at the edge of my seat, not knowing what was going to happen next. It was such an intense movie because of how the girl that was abducted was trying escape and how the operator was helping her throughout the way. I feel in love with the movie. I was into the movie that I seriously didn't realize the I was at the edge of my bed practically trying to get into the television. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending because the operator and the abducted girl left the killer in a basement to die. I thought it could have been more interesting if they threw the guy in jail. Overall I give the move an A-. One of my favorite movies now.

Blog 5: The Call

This week I didn't get the chance to watch a movie. I've been caught up doing homework and getting my grades up. Except I have been brainstorming many ideas to try to make our project seem more interesting. I feel like just reviewing movies to boring. I've been thinking that I would like to ask some people from our school some of their favorite movies and watch those and review them. I think that would make it somewhat more interesting because then we can compare there ideas and ours. I'm still thinking on how to make this project more interesting. Well I've been wanting to watch The Call for a very long time now, I think that's going to be my next movie I'm going to watch. It seems like a very interesting and many of my friends have recommended me to watch it. Below is a picture of the movie cover of The Call.

Blog 4 ; The Patriots

The movie The Patriot takes place during the civil war. A farmer is forced to go to fight in the war to try to win the war so that his sons didn't die for anything. The movie doesn't touch many historical parts of civil war. It just shows the conflict between the farmer, Benjamin Martin, and a British officer. I loved how they showed the battles. Many graphic scenes. I thought it was a good movie to watch. It was kind of intense at parts when they would be in the battle field. I would have loved to see more history facts in it. Overall I really enjoyed the movie and how the actors acted. I think the most part that touched my heart is when at the end they include the African American as practically a family member and don't see him as a slave anymore. My overall grade would be a B+ .
