Blog 5: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is about this innocent kid named Bruno that doesn't know anything about World War 2 or anything that his leader Hitler is doing to the Jews. Since his father is a soldier and runs one of the concentration camp, they set out to move closer to that concentration camp to have his job a bit easier. While there Bruno finds a out where the concentration camp is, but thinks it is a farm. As he's there he gets to know this kid that is a Jew and he grows a friendship with him.
I absolutely loved this movie! I think it captured a lot of what was happening back then. It shows how a lot people really got manipulated by Hitler making them think Jews were bad people. It also shows how many people didn't like anything that Hitler was doing. I was in tears throughout the whole movie. I'm a big weenie coming to sad movies but I really felt like this movie really did bring out my real tears because this is something that really happened in history. I enjoyed this movie very much and give it A .

Blog 3: The Final

In the movie The Final a couple of students are tired of being bullied by a bunch of "cool kids". So they take matters into their own hands. They set up a plan where the bullies lives will change forever. They gather all the "cool kids" at a Halloween party and begin to torture them. I think that this movie was a bit ridiculous. Except I really like the idea of the nerds getting revenge. It's kind of a good story to make bullies think twice about the actions that they did. I loved the costumes that they had on, they portrayed evil people. I think it wasn't much of a horror movie. I enjoyed this movie.I loved the ending to it! How they ended the movie on how it pretty much started. This movie also gives me a lesson like to think twice about the actions that I do because I never know if I'm hurting someone. I think this movie would deserve a B-.

Blog 2: Death Sentence

Nick Hume has a perfect life that everyone wants. Until one night after his sons hockey game, they pass by a gas station to fill the tank. Little did he know that one stop would change his life forever. A few guys went in and killed his son that same night. The movie was really intense and I loved it! The whole drama of the Nick Hume trying to figure our who killed the guy and tracking people down. The only thing I didn't like was that Nick was a nice guy with good manners and I think the movie changed his personality drastically. It made him into a guy that he wasn't. I think that movie could have been a little bit more realistic in some parts, but then again in many movie a train can run over a person and yet the person still lives. I really liked the beginning of the movie but in my opinion they could have had a better ending to it. I give this movie a C.

Blog 1 : Midnight in Paris

The movie is a romantic comedy that it set in Paris. It's about a family that goes there because of a business. The film follows Gil Pender, a screenwriter who is forced to confront the problems with his materialistic fiancee. Soon he finds himself traveling back to the 1920's and having adventures with many people from the twenties. He soon begins to realize is he really does love his fiancee.
I really enjoyed this movie because it took me back to the 1920's and made me feel as if I was in the movie too living the days in the 1920's. It was pretty interesting how Gil Pender is traveling back in time and he realizes that the life that he is living in the present time isn't the life he wants to actually live. The movie is romantic and comedy. Some parts had me laughing for a while. I loved how they brought many old writers from the 1920's in the movie, they had perfect acting. The ending was cheesy in way and could have had a better ending. In my opinion I think this movie deserves a B.
